Weslaco Lions and Valley Nature Center team up for the Weslaco Lions Mid-Winter

Bringing in a food donation to the Valley Nature Center will also get you $1 off admission! Thanks to our friends at the Valley Nature Center, Burton Auto Supply, and The Law Office of Richard Talbert, for serving as drop-off locations for our food drive! Bringing in a food donation to the Valley Nature Center will also get you $1 off admission! It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so grab your donation and head on over! To celebrate 100 years of Lionism and our founder Melvin Jones' birthday, Weslaco Lions are starting a food drive to benefit Food Bank RGV INC, and to educate people about how they can make their food donation count the most. The Food Bank has said that they have seen an increase in need in January 2015. Food insecurity is a critical issue in our area. We've listed here some of the most critical items needed. Donations are always accepted at our weekly Tuesday noon meeting at Pimientos Restaurant & Bar. We will update soon with more dropoff areas.
