To celebrate 100 years of Lionism and our founder Melvin Jones' birthday\, Weslaco Lions are starting a food drive to benefit Food Bank RGV INC\, and to educate people about how they can make their food donation count the most. The Food Bank has said that they have seen an increase in need in January 2015. Food insecurity is a critical issue in our area. We've listed here some of the most critical items needed. Donations are always accepted at our weekly Tuesday noon meeting at Pimientos Restaurant & Bar. We will update soon with more dropoff areas.
