The Port Isabel Shrimp Cookoff & Seafood Festival is set for Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Dozens of contestants and thousands of attendees will be treated to the world-famous shrimp recipes and a variety of family entertainment. The festival is a favorite among area residents and visitors, it tests the skills of amateur and professional chefs from throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Contestants are judged on the appearance, aroma, and taste of their specialty dishes. Samples are available to attendees for a modest fee.
