The Brownsville Historical Association (BHA) Paul Gilmore Memorial Garden at the Stillman House is proud to host a Texas Tomato Lover’s Event. Our speaker will be William “Bill” Adams. Bill is a retired Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agent whose books include “The Texas Tomato Lovers Handbook,” “The Southern Kitchen Garden”. Topics include: selecting the best tomato variety, grafting tomatoes, selecting the best location, fertilization, irrigation, insects and diseases and weed control. There will be time for Q&A with the speaker. A light reception with tomato themed refreshments will be served. There will also be tomato plants for sale at the event.
