A festival celebrating Texas Independence Day with three live re-enactments of battles leading up to the State's freedom from Mexico. Battles include the famous Battle of the Alamo, the Battle of San Jacinto, and the Battle of Bexar with period attire. Also on sit will be demonstrations of vendors baking pan de campo, quilt-making and other old- time skills. Vendors are welcome to sell foods, while arts/crafts and corporate/business vendors will also be on hand to add to the festivities. Other events include a sanctioned barbecue cook-off, a brisket plate sale, period parade, declaration of independence signing ceremony, 5-k race, live music, raffles and beer garden.
