In an effort to bring people of different faiths closer together in our community under one common goal, we will be having the “RGV for the Philippines: Haiyan Relief “ benefit event concert. Representative choirs, choral groups, duets, soloists and cultural dance groups from several of our local congregations will be performing in this new interfaith benefit concert. WHY: To create an event of outreach that will bring a greater degree of unity to the whole community of faith, as well as all people in general. In light of recent national and world events, it is fitting that we all gather together to join our hearts and souls through giving. And what better way to do so other than using the medium that is universal…MUSIC & PERFORMANCE. Music has been known to be the universal language. It transcends race, ethnic origin, and religion. Music reaches deep down into the soul and taps into the part of each of us that knows unity, love and peace. Performance has been known to reflect one’s feelings and emotions. And just like music, taps into the part of each of us that sees unity, love and peace above all else. Please join us with sincere hearts as we give back!
