Enjoy a guided tour through the habitats of the refuge including thornscrub forest, coastal prairie, wetlands and the scenic Laguna Madre in our air conditioned bus or open-air tram. Discover the history of the refuge - both natural and cultural, see how lands are being managed for wildlife, and view the special wildlife that call deep south Texas home. Binoculars recommended. There will be two stops with short, optional walks. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays - 9:00am - 12:00pm & 1:00pm - 4:00pm Tickets $4 for adults (16+), $3 seniors (62+), under 16 free. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Arrive early to ensure a seat. Call 956-748-3608 ext 111 for more information. Children under age 8 will need a car seat provided. This vehicle is wheelchair accessible. The Visitor Center is open Thursday - Tuesday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. The refuge is open sunrise - sunset every day of the week. (Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.)
