Fit Family 5k Run, Walk & Stroll

The Fit Family 5k Run, Walk & Stroll is an annual event hosted by the Junior League of McAllen, Inc. This family friendly race encourages the community to exercise in one of McAllen's local parks, whether you are an individual athlete looking to achieve a personal best, or a family in the mood for a leisurely stroll. Everyone is welcome! The Junior League is a national nonprofit organization of women, committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through the action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of McAllen chapter envisions significantly improving the quality of life of the children and youth in our community by preserving the innocence of childhood, encouraging responsibility, and promoting a safe environment. All proceeds from this event support the Junior League of McAllen Inc.'s community programs and activities. Your support allows us to impact the lives of children in our community every day! Check in and registration will take place on the day of the race from 6:30am - 7:30am with the race beginning promptly at 8:00am. Prizes will be awarded for male and female winners in 4 categories. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Adults and children 10 years of age and up: Early Bird Registration (by September 15th): $25 Registration after September 15th: $30 Children 10 years and under can participate for free! Strollers are welcome, but please remember no pets, bicycles, or scooters will be allowed at this event.
