The U.S. Small Business Administration has organized a series of eight (8) Friday Informational Workshops to help small business owners or anyone thinking about starting a business properly start, build and grow. Additionally, the sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to connect with representatives from federal, state and local business resource agencies for expert information. February’s session will be presented by the Texas State Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Cameron County Clerk’s Office and will teach participants the importance of business registration and the filing requirements for starting a business.

• Seller and Purchaser responsibilities, collection and remittance of tax & reporting periods
• Records requirements and how to keep accurate records
• Resale and Exemption certificates, the use of each and how to complete the forms
