“VersoFrontera,” a one-day literary festival comes to Our Lady of the Lake University-RGV
Our Lady of the Lake University-RGV will be hosting VersoFrontera, a one-day literary festival, and an initiative by the current San Antonio Poet Laureate, Octavio Quintanilla. The festival will take place on Saturday Feb 22, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake University- Rio Grande, located in La Feria, Texas, starting at 10:00 am.
Approximately 30 writers from the U.S. and Mexico will participate, including Matt Sedillo, David Bowles, Liliana Valenzuela, Jessica Ayala, Edward Vidaurre, Griselda Jane Castillo, Miriam Maldonado, Eddie Vega, Noreen Rivera, and many more.
VersoFrontera aims to build literary bridges between San Antonio and the RGV, and between all the places of origin of the visiting writers. This year’s theme will be: “Telling Our Stories.”
