Ocelot Conservation Day
Our family event will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10-4 at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, TX. {500 Ringgold St} There will be info tables about all things ocelot, craft activities for the kids, and a special presentation featuring a live ocelot from the Cincinatti Zoo. All activities are FREE with zoo admission. Discover the plight of these amazing wild cats that share the lower Rio Grande Valley with us, find out what the US Fish and Wildlife Service and our partners are doing for their conservation, and see what role you, as a private concerned citizen, can play to ensure ocelots are here for future generations to enjoy. For directions: visit www.gpz.org For more information about ocelots and Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, explore this website. Hosted by US Fish and Wildlife Service, Gladys Porter Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo's Cat Ambassador Program, and Friends of Laguna Atascosa.
