A founding member of the Historical Foundation of South Padre Island\, Steve Hathcock also serves as chairman of the South Padre Island Historical Preservation Committee and as a board member of the Cameron County Historical Commission. He has written about South Texas history for the past 25 years and along with his work\, he has published four books. Much of his work is published online and can be viewed at http://southpadretv.tv/ or at http://southpadretreasurehunting.com/.
