DESCRIPTION:The biggest World Cup Party in Texas is coming to\n\nyour backyard at the McAllen Convention Center. The\n\nCity of McAllen announced at a press conference on\n\nTuesday\, June 3\, 2014 that the McAllen Convention\n\nCenter has been selected as an official viewing site for\n\nthe Federation Internationale de Football Association\n\n(FIFA) World Cup.\n\n \n\nThe City of McAllen will host the viewing celebration\n\nat the bandstand of Oval Park outside of the Convention\n\nCenter. The City of McAllen is one of a few select cities\n\nin the United States to host an outdoor public viewing\n\napproved through FIFA. Spectators are urged to wear\n\ntheir favorite team jerseys to this family friendly event.\n\nThere will be fun activities to get the crowd in the game\n\nspirit.\n\n \n\nThe FIFA World Cup is the most watched sporting event\n\nin the world. With both USA and Mexico competing and\n\nover 40 games to be played\, hundreds\, of fans are\n\nexpected to show up to cheer on their teams at the\n\nbroadcasts that are open to the public. The games will\n\nbe displayed on an impressive 18' x 12'\, state of the art\,\n\nLED screen.\n\n \n\nThe broadcast schedule is from June 12th to July 13th with\n\nmultiple games per day. Games of interest are Mexico vs\n\nCameroon on June 13th\, USA vs Ghana on June 16th\,\n\nBrazil vs Mexico on June 17th\, USA vs Portugal on June 22\,\n\nUSA vs Germany on June 26th. The games are followed\n\nby elimination rounds\, quarter finals\, semi-finals\, then\n\nculminating in the dramatic final showdown.
