DESCRIPTION:The 17th Annual Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival is scheduled for the second complete week of October 2013! It has hosted countless Latin Jazz artists of the highest caliber\, advanced our multi-cultural diversity\, generated tourism\, improved the quality of life in Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley plus entertained thousands for sixteen years! A three day event that provides exposure to Latin Jazz that would otherwise not be accessible to this community. The first and last days are free outdoor concerts enjoyed by over 4\,000 persons of all ages\, ethnicity\, and social/economic background. The second and third days are feature concerts by Grammy nominated artists that are well attended by the community. Clinics\, master workshops\, dance competitions and exhibitions are also presented throughout the weekend.
